Uganda 2026 Day 10

Today we woke up to have a fast breakfast and drive to the Moroto airport. Those of us flying loaded in the vans and most of the Ugandans riding home loaded in the bus. We arrived and had to wait over an hour for our plane. I am not sure why, but it gave us time to relax and laugh. The plane ride back, we were in the same groups, but we switched out a couple Ugandans that flew their with us to other flying back. It was a fast flight. When we walked off the tarmac, I saw a kitten and showed Anna and a couple others. When u went to where it hid, we found 5. Anna was taking photos of them (I took some too). When the second flight arrived, Chloe tried to catch one, but they just ran. We were the last three to the vans where Henry, Papa Moses, and Ivan picked us up. We had lunch at the guest house and then, those who wanted to, went shopping. We started at Banana Boat and coffee/food at CJs. One van when back to the hotel after this stop and one went to the market. Brenda (Ugandan) had come with us and she helped Katie a lot. So Katie bought her a romper she found and wanted. Anna and I walked around together. I bought two Angel ornaments that I get every year and a couple gifts. When we left Brenda and another world changer stayed behind because they were going to do something. It was sad to say goodbye to them also. Once back at the guest house, we helped with finishing a project with our supplies. James had arrived by this time. He helped us and then some of us played black 7 including him. JoAnne then informed us if we ordered clothes from Linda that we needed to try them on. She had one of my two skirts and my dress. I loved them as did the other girls. She needed to make sleeve adjustments to the dress and length adjustments to the skirt. Linda is bringing my other skirt tomorrow. She also needed to do slight adjustments for a couple other people. The clothes and fabric design are always perfect for who she makes them for. I felt so fancy in my clothes too. They may be too fancy for work, but I am going to wear them there anyway. Not long after this, we left and went to Caramel for dinner. The food is so good there! I got Tucson chicken (I think that’s the name) with mashed potatoes. John Bosco sat between Benjamin and I. We had some good conversations about him needing cows and the price, relationships, and other life stuff. This is when Benjamin learned I sponsor John Bosco. He thought Tony and JoAnne still did somehow. It was such a good night with the group. We worked on reorganizing our personal bags after we got back to the house. I feel like I have actually done that a lot so far this trip. I stayed up late to say goodbye to Lolita as she left for the airport at midnight. She is an amazing woman and I hope she has fun on the rest of her vacation trip!
