Uganda 2025 Day 27
Uganda 2025 Day 27
Today I met the some of the world changers and James at quality (really cafe Marie). Wilson was also with us as he has been my trusty and faithful driver every time I needed one. When we arrived, Brenda and Paul were the only two there. We decided to order our drinks. Wilson ordered a strawberry milkshake, Paul a mango blended juice, Brenda a Nutella milkshake, and I ordered an Oreo milkshake. Next to arrive were Shakira and Jackson. Both of them ordered Nutella milkshakes. Last to arrive was James. I knew he would be late because he told me he would be helping grandma with something first. He also ordered a Nutella milkshake. Then Shakira ordered fries for the table to share. These were to dip in the milkshakes. Tony and I taught them this combination this year. For lunch, most of us ordered pizza. I think the main orders were the chicken pizza and the cafe Marie special. James ordered the club sandwich that I had Monday when we were there and Wilson ordered beef curry. I kept trying to get them to try the chili oil, but nobody wanted to. They all said it was to spicy. So, I put one drop on my finger and ate it. James put his milkshake in front of me in case it was too spicy. It was not. I could have used my milkshake if needed, but I gave the rest of it to Paul. While waiting for our food. There were many photos taken. They even left the table to take photos on the stairs that lead up to quality. The security guard requested them to stop. Not long later the food arrived. I put 5 drops of the chili oil on my first pizza slice. It was so good. The oil had garlic, ginger, and something else in it too that gave extra flavor. James then felt the pressure to try the oil… or just decided to. He put a drip on his finger and almost died from the heat. They may have judged me for the chili oil on my pizza, but I judged them for adding ketchup on their pizza. I let Brenda add some ketchup to my second slice of pizza, but I still proceeded to add 6 drops of the chili oil. It was better without the added ketchup because of the sugar in ketchup. It was not bad though. Wilson had me try a little of his curry. It was very good! Then he also decided to try the chili oil in it. Brenda and I both said one drop, but he put in two. He did not react bad even though he said it was to hot. Brenda tried one drop on her pizza and reacted similar to James. There was so much fun and laughing the whole time. I was not very hungry, so James and Wilson both had a slice of my pizza. Wilson tried one drop of the chili oil on it and he said that was better than on the curry. After eating, we went up to quality so I could buy a couple last minute items. I also bought the world changers and James one snack each and a bag of suckers they divided. When it was time to leave, James and Paul left together while Wilson drove, Brenda, Shakirah, Jackson and I. We dropped Brenda off a little way down the road where she took a boda boda home. About a mile or so from where we were to drop off Shakirah and Jackson, a car hit our car. Wilson got out and checked the vehicle, but it did not look bad. They hit the back passenger side (or driver side if you consider cars at home). We proceeded to where Shakirah and Jackson got out and then Wilson took me back to the house. I looked at the vehicle as he was leaving and it looked like some paint may have been rubbed off. I was thankful for that. It was such a good day full of smiles and laughter.
