Uganda 2025 Day 30
Uganda 2025 Day 30
I woke up after two hours of sleep to get ready to leave. I could have slept another 30 minutes, but I did not know how long it would take to do everything. I showered, packed the last minute items, stripped the bed and grabbed the towels and took them to the laundry room, emptied my trash, and I think a couple other things. Jeff got up at 1:30a to say goodbye. The car arrived at 2a and I headed to the airport. I asked for aisle seats for both flights and sadly ended up with middle seats for both flights. The first flight I did sleep for 30 minutes and then 15 minutes later. During the flight they did an announcement requesting a doctor if someone was on board. I am not sure if they found one. Navigating the Istanbul airport is always fun because it is so big. We have to go through security again even though we are transferring. Once I made it through, I found my flight, but had some time before it would say what gate. I decided to walk around shops so I would not sit. On the second flight I slept for about two hours. I guess that is one perk to only sleeping two hours at night. During the second meal they provided, I asked for only a roll. They asked if I wanted two, but I told them no because I was not feeling well. I had been nauseated for a few hours and I think it was due to the headache I had not long after boarding the plane. The guy at the window seat next to me asked if I had a headache and I told him I did. He guessed this because he travels often for work and can get headaches during flights. He offered meds (I believe Advil) and I took one. The headache was going not long after. He asked me a couple hours later how I was feeling and I thanked him again. During the flight I only got up a couple times, but both times I stood for around half an hour. By the last 4 hours of the flight I was ready to be off the plane.
